Bhagavad Gita: Nature of mind (Difficult to control) (Dhyana-yoga, Text 33, 34 Chapter 6)

arjuna uvaca

yo' yam yogas tvaya proktah
samyena madhusudana
etasyaham na pasyami
cancalatvat sthitim sthiram

(Dhyana-yoga, Text 33 Chapter 6)

yo' yam yogas tvaya proktah
samyena madhusudana
etasyaham na pasyami
cancalatvat sthitim sthiram

(Dhyana-yoga, Text 34 Chapter 6)

Meaning:

Arjuna said: O Madhusudana, the system of yoga which you have summarized appears impractical and unendurable to me, for the mind is restless and unsteady.

(Dhyana-yoga, Text 33 Chapter 6)

For the mind is restless, turbulent, obstinate and very strong, O Krsna, and to subdue it, I think, is more difficult than controlling the wind.

(Dhyana-yoga, Text 34 Chapter 6)

***Simple method one must engage one's mind fully in divine (Krsna). Only then will there remain no other engagements to agitate the mind.
